You're a type A woman, constantly moving, working, busy. Seemingly out of nowhere, you've gained belly fat, can't sleep, have zero energy, and everything is overstimulating. Your significant other? They are driving you crazy.

I am a Type A woman.
I have two children, I'm married, and I work full-time in healthcare.
When I turned 39, I looked in the mirror and didn't recognize myself. I gained almost 20 pounds over 2 years. I was shocked, I had a decent diet, and I exercised...a lot. I'm talking 45 minutes of hard cardio daily plus CrossFit workouts. I thought my diet was pretty good. It didn't make sense.
My sleep was terrible, but it had been terrible since my first child was born. And now, to add insult to injury, I was sweating at night, sweating so much that I was soaking my bed sheets.
On top of all of that, my energy was trash. I could barely keep my eyes open after lunch.
I also noticed my hair was falling out, my skin looked bad, and everything was annoying. Annoying and too loud. I was snapping at my kids, and my husband was on my last nerve.
I went to my PCP and my GYN - they told me my labs were normal. The end. No further conversation.
But I did not feel normal. I felt awful.
Something was wrong.

When clinically appropriate, yes.
Treatment plans may include hormone therapy, targeted supplementation, nutrition and lifestyle strategies, and — in select cases — medications such as GLP-1s. All recommendations are individualized and made collaboratively, with a clear explanation of risks, benefits, and alternatives.
Prescribing and medical management services are currently available to patients located in Arizona. Clients outside of Arizona may participate through consultative care, including personalized recommendations and collaboration with their existing healthcare providers.
